About the Exhibit:
Free Hang Day features artists from all over Hampton Roads with varying levels of skills, multiple mediums, and different styles. On Free Hang Day, artists learn how to hang their art in a gallery. Their learning includes the technical side of galleries, such as tools, attachments, height, and angles. Artists also learned curation skills. These skills taught artists how to display their pieces in a way that tells a story, from order, flow, and sectioning. Artists also got the chance to work on any current pieces amongst fellow artists while mingling over ideas and shared passions. After Free Hang Day, their art gets to stay on display for a few weeks!
