Call For Artists
We are currently planning our 2025-2026 Exhibition Season!
The Downing-Gross Cultural Arts Center is dedicated to supporting artists, making the arts accessible to all, and celebrating diverse cultural expressions.
If you are a visual artist interested in displaying in Downing-Gross Cultural Arts Center’s Newport News or Foyer Galleries, submit an Artists Display Inquiry Form or Exhibition Proposal. Physical copies are also located at the customer service desk. While there is no formal deadline for submission, we recommend submitting the form and/or exhibit proposals by March 1, 2025. Preference for the Newport News Community Gallery is given to artists with a full exhibit proposal to include programming components. Artists may submit solo or group exhibit proposals.
Artists not chosen to display for the next exhibition season will be put on our waitlist.
