The Newport News Community Gallery displays exhibits throughout the year featuring the works of local, national, and international artists. This gallery also hosts multiple student exhibits. Splash of Life
Sharon Cox-Eley is a watercolor artist based in Hampton, VA. Painting has always been of interest, but she never pursued it seriously until she discovered the magical powers of watercolor. Cox-Eley says, “It was like falling in love for the first time all over again. My muse, and constant companion, is my cat Moses, who provides endless entertainment and inspiration. Being from the peninsula and living here in the Hamptons Roads area has allowed me to capture the beauty of the ocean and the occasional seagulls that photobomb. Come and check out my work, I promise it's worth getting out of your cat pajamas for.”
