Thesis Show | Master of Interdisciplinary Arts at VCU
Francie Pearce will be entering her 13th year of teaching art at Carver Elementary School in Newport News. Prior to this, she taught one year at Keystone Academy in Newport News. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History and Classical Archaeology from Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio. Originally from New Jersey, she has exhibited locally in Hampton and Newport News, where she lives with her husband.
Liz Bahl-Moore teaches art for Williamsburg-James City County Public Schools. Currently at Lafayette High, she taught two years at Rawls Byrd Elementary, three years at Warhill High and two years also at Lafayette. Prior to that, she taught for four years at Culpeper Middle School in Culpeper, Virginia. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Longwood University in Farmville. She has exhibited consistently in Farmville, Culpeper, Williamsburg, Newport News, and Hampton. A native of Pennsylvania, she lives in Williamsburg with her husband and son.
Angel Jones is an award-winning art educator for Norfolk Public Schools. She has been a member of the faculty of Jacox Elementary since 2005. A native of Portsmouth, where she lives with her husband, son and daughter, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. In 2013, her artwork received third-place honors in the Tidewater Virginia Art Education Association Exhibit at Downing-Gross Cultural Arts Center.
