For Ages 16+

Open Auditions for Grease will be held on November 7th at 6:30pm, November 8th at 6:30pm, and November 9th at 10:00am. These are open auditions, meaning there is no scheduling. Please arrive at Downing-Gross Cultural Arts Center at 6:30pm on either November 7th, 8th or 10:00am on November 9th in order to audition. You may be asked to sing or to perform a cold-read during your audition so please come prepared to sing a cappella.

About the Show:

Meet Rydell High’s senior class of 1959: duck-tailed, hot-rodding “Burger Palace Boys” and their gum-snapping, hip-shaking “Pink Ladies” in bobby sox and pedal pushers. In this tale by Warren Casey and Jim Jacobs, head “greaser” Danny Zuko and the new girl Sandy Dumbrowski form an unforgettable summer romance. Enjoy a classic show that features the soundtrack of a generation with songs like “Greased Lightenin’”, “It’s Raining on Prom Night”, “Alone at the Drive-In Movie”, and (of course) “Summer Nights”.
