Children's Beginner Sewing Class

Participants will learn the different parts of a sewing machine and how to use it effectively. This includes threading the machine, winding a bobbin, understanding the purpose of the most used stitches, assembling a PDF pattern, and reading a commercial pattern (e.g., McCalls, Simplicity, Butterick). By the end, participants will be amazed by their progress and the creations they can complete (like a coin purse, pencil pouch, bag).

Materials Needed: 1 yard of cotton fabric (pre-washed), sewing machine, thread

Supply Fee: $10 paid directly to the instructor unless you bring your own supplies (covers sewing machine use, thread, and limited selection of fabric).
