Collection: “Brushstrokes of Spirit & Soul”

I am a Virginia-based artist whose work blends spiritual themes, cultural identity, and emotional storytelling through vibrant acrylic paintings on canvas.

This collection, “Brushstrokes of Spirit & Soul” is a striking and deeply personal acrylic collection that invites the viewer into a world of divine presence, cultural elegance, emotional serenity, and radiant beauty. Each painting tells a quiet, powerful story; one that speaks to the soul.

At the center of the collection is Night Watch, a spiritual masterpiece portraying a Black Jesus seated calmly in a boat beneath a moonlit sky. Behind Him stands a concerned angel, hands lifted in prayer, bathed in soft light. This piece embodies Spiritual Expressionism, evoking deep reverence, healing, and stillness through color, symbolism, and the emotional energy between the divine figures.

Feather & Flame, a vintage depiction of a glamorous flapper girl, celebrates Cultural Realism, a nod to Black history and 1920s elegance, where every detail from her feathered headpiece to the poised expression speaks of feminine strength and antique charm.

In pieces like Breathe, the faceless figure near a glistening waterfall captures Serene Naturalism, inviting the viewer into silence, peace, and reflection. Similarly, Rose in Thought shows a woman of diverse beauty holding a single rose in a tranquil landscape expresses quiet introspection and feminine grace.

Neon Kiss adds vibrant flair, showing lush, colorful lips reminiscent of South Beach energy and expressive modern beauty. Its bold palette contrasts with the softer tones of the nature scenes, balancing serenity with striking confidence.

What unites these works is a soulful blend of styles, spiritual expressionism, cultural realism, and serene naturalism painted with emotion, purpose, and faith. The collection is diverse in both subject and tone, moving fluidly from prayerful moments to playful color, from peaceful waters to vintage pride.

These paintings are more than visual art they are windows into sacred rest, untold history, inner calm, and unspoken strength. This exhibit is for the collector who values not just what they see, but what they feel.
