About the Exhibit:
My Palette: Above and Beyond, led by Avery Lam, is a collection of work from various artists in the Hampton Roads Korean community. “My Palette: Above and Beyond" celebrates not only art but also the rich cultural fusion of art, heritage, and community in the Hampton Roads area. For the past decade, the local Korean community represented in this exhibition, united by a shared passion for artistic expression and cultural preservation, has come together to explore and create a variety of artworks, including Korean-themed crafts and paintings, while also deepening their understanding of Korean culture. Rooted in the Korean church, this vibrant group has embraced art as both a means of creative expression and a way to honor and preserve their cultural heritage.
"My Palette: Above and Beyond" represents more than just an exhibition; it’s a celebration of the collective spirit of a community bound by love, passion, and a shared dream. It’s an opportunity where art, culture, and personal connections flourish—where creativity is nurtured and celebrated through heartfelt conversation.
