CANCELLED - An Evening with Mendel: "Stories for Grown Folk"

AN EVENING W MENDEL, STORIES FOR GROWN FOLK & ART EXHIBIT DATES.jpg

A tour de force. Experience a new level of story telling. Discover a depth that broadens the scope of how one sees the world and oneself. It is liberating, fascinating, unique, honest and edgy. Her production includes a sparse, suggestive set, costumes, props and live music, making this a delectable feast for the eyes, the soul, and the imagination. It's a combination of Caribbean/British storytelling, performance art, stand-up comedy, live music from The Champagne Band, and pieces based on excerpts from previous shows and her books.

Mendel is a raconteur, a griot, an improvisational performance artist and a talented stage actor. She glides easily between characters, stories, and cultural sensibilities. She is skilled at talking about issues and concerns sometimes considered controversial. She normalizes healthy communications.
