The Newport News Community Gallery displays exhibits throughout the year featuring the works of local, national, and international artists. This gallery also hosts multiple student exhibits. This April, our “Speak About Love” exhibition brings together the visionary voices of Ella Fitzgerald and bell hooks, two cultural icons who reshaped how we understand art and love.
The exhibition will take place from April 4-25, 2026 with a virtual artist talk on April 11, 2026 at 1:30pm, and a closing reception and awards ceremony on April 25, 2026 from 5-7pm.
The reception is free and open to the public; light refreshments will be served.
